The possibilities are endless with this fun, new cartridge – CARS! I played with paper and vinyl and have a few ideas to share. Of course there are many, many other projects to do, but here are just a few:

Vinyl Magnet board
Tin Car Case
Chipboard Car Book

**I also think that any of the cars cut out of vinyl to decorate a little boys room would be absolutely adorable!**

Vinyl Magnet Board:

Supplies:
Large Unfinished Magnet Board 300196
Delta Ceramcoat Paint Black 250621
Delta Ceramcoat Matte Interior Varnish 700829
Paint Brushes and Sandpaper
Provo Craft Vinyl – Red, Black, White
Assorted Cardstock
Adhesive

Directions:
1. Paint frame of magnet board and set aside to dry.
2. After first coat is dry, sand lightly and paint again. Dry.
3. Add a coat of varnish.
4. Using the Cricut and CARS cartridge cut out your favorite car or logo with the vinyl. (I cut “The World of Cars” out at 8 inches.)
5. Place in the center of the magnet board.
6. Then cut out another car with paper – this one was 5 inches.
7. Take the white vinyl and cut into 3 x ¼ inch strips. Place around the black frame to look like a road.
8. Put your car on the corner of the magnet board with any adhesive.

Tin Car Case:

Supplies:
Small Tin Case 226960
Assorted Cardstock or Vinyl
Ribbon

Directions:
1. Cover each side of the tin with cardstock or vinyl.
2. Using the Cricut and CARS cartridge, cut out a car or shape on the cardstock or vinyl. (there are SO many fun shapes on this cartridge! Check out the Spare parts function.) I cut out my shapes 3 inches.
3. Glue on tin.
4. Tie a ribbon around the handle.
5. Fill tin with cars!

Chipboard Car Book:

Supplies:
Maya Road Tab Chipboard Book 003194
Assorted Cardstock
Black Vinyl
Adhesive
Ultra fine Painty Pen

Directions:
1. Pick out what cars you want in your book and what will go on the cover.
2. Using the Cricut and CARS cartridge, cut out the cars and shapes – pay as much attention to detail as you would like. There are a lot of little pieces!
3. Cover the front, back, and each page in the book with cardstock. Trim around the tabs.
4. Cover the binding of the book with black vinyl.
5. As you cut out the cars, place each one on the appropriate page.
6. Use the tab to write the name of the car with the Painty Pen.
